Learn the skills required to operate effectively as a Close Protection Operative within the private security industry.

This Level 3 qualification is designed for individuals seeking to apply for a Close Protection licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA). The course is delivered through a hands-on, scenario-based approach that reflects the realities of modern Close Protection work, not classroom theory alone.

Training takes place at Guardian Training’s unmatched, purpose-built facility, featuring multiple classrooms, matted training areas, vehicles, and a full mock village. Learners develop practical competence through immersive scenarios that replicate real operational environments and pressures.

To support intensive training, free on-site accommodation is included with this course, allowing learners to remain fully immersed throughout the programme and making it accessible for those travelling from further afield.

Importantly, this course includes the Level 3 First Aid at Work (FAAW) qualification, ensuring learners meet the medical training requirements expected of Close Protection Operatives and are prepared to respond effectively to medical emergencies in operational environments.
